Heb 10:5-9 | NASB2020 | STEP | Therefore , when He comes into the world , He says , “ Y ou have not desired sacrifice and offering , But Y ou have prepared a body for Me ;

Hebrews 10:5-9

5 Therefore, ^awhen He comes into the world, He says,

“ ^bYou have not desired sacrifice and offering,
But ^cYou have prepared a body for Me;
6 ^dYou have not taken pleasure in whole burnt offerings and offerings for sin.
7 “ ^eThen I said, ‘Behold, I have come
(It is written of Me in ^fthe scroll of the book)
To do Your will, O God.’”
8 After saying above, “ ^gSacrifices and offerings and ^hwhole burnt offerings and offerings ⁱfor sin You have not desired, nor have You taken pleasure in them” (which are offered according to the Law), 9 then He ^{▼▼Lit has said}said, “ ^kBehold, I have come to do Your will.” He takes away the first in order to establish the second.
